Biography

Dr Sam Mehr completed his MBBS at the University of Melbourne in 1999 along with his BMed Sci. He completed his internship at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne before moving to the Royal Children’s Hospital. Dr Mehr then transferred to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead where he completed his fellowship in Clinical Allergy and Immunology and in Immunopathology. He divides his time between a variety of roles – Consultant Staff Specialist in Allergy and Immunology at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Honorary Medical Officer at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead and sub-editor of the Journal of Paediatrics and Child Health. He also sits on various committees including the Allergy working party for Immunology QAP and the Paediatric subcommittee of ASCIA. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologist of Australasia in Immunopathology and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. An author of several peer-reviewed papers, Dr Mehr joined DOR Pathology as an Immunopathologist in 2016.
