Welcome to the 2023-25 triennium. We are proud to continue our tradition of offering the highest standard of education nationwide for the medical community. This triennium we have a diverse program of opportunities approved by Colleges (CPD homes) and available to you including clinical audits, conferences, multidisciplinary small group meetings, webinars, and practical workshops to satisfy your Professional Development needs.
Changes for 2023 and ongoing for practitioners includes a yearly Professional Development Plan, which is an essential requirement for the identification of your learning needs. Colleges have created a simple tool on their dashboards to make the process easier for all so we recommend attending to this early in the year for your education needs.
General Practitioners will need to record 50 hours of CPD across different activity types each calendar year. Though there are some required activity types, there is also flexibility in how you make up some of these required hours. The 3 main categories are Educational activities, Measuring Outcomes & Reviewing Performance – and a CPR course update during the triennium.
