Biography

Dr Juliette Holland graduated from the University College and Middlesex Hospital Medical School, University of London, UK (MBBS) in 1989. By the early 90s, she’d embarked on her vocational training in microbiology at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Royal Perth Hospital, WA and later at IMVS and the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide, SA. In 1997, Juliette was awarded MSc (Virology and Mycology) from the University of Adelaide. Soon after she was admitted to the Fellowship of Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. She became Deputy editor for the Medical Journal of Australia in 1999 and joined LAV Pathology as a Clinical Microbiologist in 2000. Juliette is currently Head of Department, Microbiology at LAV.
